De la vigne à la bouteille

Day 1: Romanèche-Thorins - Cruzille

Your stay begins with an original trip to discover the world of wine aboard an animated gondola at Hameau Duboeuf. This theme park around the vine reveals in a playful way all that the vine and the wine are to the Burgundian heritage.

Continue your discovery by visiting the Château Portier, a typical Beaujolais building. Built a few meters from the Moulin à Vent, a historic monument of the XV century, the Château Portier, with its vines from the most famous terroirs of southern Burgundy, offers you a wide selection of old vintages. Take the opportunity to taste the traditional "Mâchon Beaujolais" (cold cuts and cheese)!

Leave the Beaujolais vineyards to arrive in the Mâconnais whose valleys offer a completely different landscape. Discover the country of Lamartine, from the top of the Roches de Solutré or Vergisson. After half an hour's walk, from the top of this rocky escarpment with its red ochre glow, you will be able to discover a panoramic view of the staked vineyards, pretty villages as well as the plain of the Saône to the east.

We suggest you to stop in Cruzille, in a gîte in the heart of an organic farming estate (visit and tasting possible).

Day 2 : Cruzille - Dracy-le-Fort

Your day begins with the visit of a picturesque village with a medieval decor: Brancion. The castle, surrounded by a steep ravine, can be visited freely or with a guide. You can also visit the church of St. Peter, which is open to the public, and with a little luck the melodies of the harpist will seduce you.

Continue your itinerary and take a gourmet break in the Tournugeois. There is no lack of gastronomic restaurants where you can discover traditional and authentic cuisine, and why not try a cooking class at the Relais d'Ozenay?

If you want to stretch your legs, the "Balades vertes" will allow you to discover the hidden heritage of this territory.

Then go and discover a jewel of Romanesque art by visiting the Saint-Philibert abbey in Tournus, and stop at the wine cellar of the abbey. After some explanations on the Tournugeois vineyard, you will be able to taste different typical wines of the region.

We suggest you to stop in a charming hotel with a local menu in Dracy-le-Fort.

Day 3 : Dracy-le-Fort - Gevrey-Chambertin

Your last day ends on the road of the great wines of Burgundy.

Take a detour to the old quarter of Chalon-sur-Saône, the Hospices de Beaune, the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges? Cellars and estates will be present all along this itinerary.

Finally, we suggest you visit the Château de Pommard to discover a "prestigious wine".
