GAEC du Moulin de Foulot
Between vineyards and meadows, the Moulin de Foulot nestles in the shadow of Mont Péjus, a limestone hill in the commune of Saint Gengoux le National, a small medieval town in southern Burgundy. This location, on the edge of the Côte Chalonnaise escarpments and the first hills to the north-west of the Mâconnais, offers a wide variety of exposure and terroir. Part of the Cluny Abbey, Saint Gengoux le National also has a rich wine-growing past that has shaped its landscape.
This diversity can be found on our mixed farming farm (vines, wine, crops, Hereford cattle), making it a distinctive place marked by our philosophy of life: certified organic, sustainable and peasant farming.
We cultivate 7 hectares of vines in different appellations: Bourgogne rouge, Bourgogne aligoté, Mâcon village blanc and Mâcon rouge. We have recently started offering wines from some of our favourite plots. Our wines reflect their terroirs and the vintage, harvested by hand and using no artificial methods.
The Moulin de Foulot can also accommodate you in its gîte, a traditional Burgundy house that can sleep up to 7 people.
