Visitez l'église Saint Pierre de Mâcon via l'iconographie des apparitions miraculeuses

The parish of St Etienne de Mâcon is pleased to offer you the opportunity to (re)discover St Peter's church, guided by a parishioner, each month focusing on a particular theme (Mary, the liturgy, the sacraments, the saints, miracles, etc.).

For the month of July, the visit will take place on Saturday 04/07/2026 at 2pm and will focus on the various miraculous apparitions (Mary, Angels, Jesus, etc.) through the paintings, statues, stained glass windows and frescoes in the church.

(approx. 1h15).

You must register by e-mail, or via the "contact" form, giving your name, telephone number and the number of participants.

Confirmation will be sent to you in the days preceding the visit.

NB:

The visit is not a historical or architectural tour. If required, professional tour guides can organise specific tours (ask at the tourist office for details).

Nor is it a religious or catechetical visit.

It is intended as an opportunity to revisit your religious culture through the eyes of one of its practitioners; to discover (or rediscover) a Catholic place of worship and better understand what goes on there in 3 ways:

1- What I see (what it is, who did it, when, etc.)

2- I understand (what does it mean to Catholics? why is it here?).

3- I experience it (what the faithful say or do here).

No background in faith or catechism is required, quite the opposite.
