An introduction to Shibori, a Japanese resist-dyeing technique. Join us to experiment with the many ways of creating patterns using folding, pinching and sewn resist.

Shibori is a resist dyeing technique using binding on fabric. The terms "tie and dye" or "renoué" refer to this same dyeing principle.

Join us to experiment with different ways of creating patterns. We will use an indigo vat to obtain white-on-blue patterns on cotton fabric. During this workshop we will concentrate on the basic Shibori techniques and not on setting up the indigo vat or its chemistry.
