Stage de Feutre de laine
Extra soft felt in Alpaca and Angora wool
Carded wool is transformed into a surface
Duration: 8 hours
Public: Adults (16+)
An introduction to the technique of felting with soap and water. You will learn how to card and prepare wool for felting and make a felted scarf from alpaca and Angora rabbit wool!
An extra-soft creation to keep you warm this winter. We'll work with the natural colours of angora rabbit wool: silver grey and white, and alpaca wool: caramel, pinkish grey and beige.
These exceptionally soft wools are also incredibly fine, so they can be used to create a fine, supple felt. They also felt very easily, making them ideal for a first felted wool project!
The programme:
-Discover the different types of wool (Merino sheep, alpaca, angora) and their respective qualities.
- Carding wool and preparing it for felting.
- Felting with soap and water.
- Incorporating wool threads into the felt to create a design, pattern or touch of colour.
- Felt samples.
- Creating a felted object: extra soft scarf.
