Patrimoine en mouvement
Building a sustainable future: Spotlight on heritage and its players!
The abbey's medieval Farinier is opening its doors to the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine in Paris (École de Chaillot) for a brand new exhibition. The exhibition showcases the sketchbooks, models, photographs, tools, materials and videos of the architects working for the Monuments Historiques under the medieval oak roof of the Farinier.
Discover what it's like to work in the field of built heritage, and in particular to be an architect for Bâtiments de France, through examples of restoration work carried out in Burgundy Franche-Comté! Their analyses reveal the full complexity of the site, illustrated by magnificent plates of drawings recreating the architectural richness under study. An exhibition designed and produced by the Cité de l'architecture et du patrimoine in association with the Fondation du patrimoine.
What is the École de Chaillot? Founded in 1887 by the architect Anatole de Baudot, a former pupil of the famous Viollet-le-Duc, it has more than 135 years' experience in training architects to safeguard heritage sites.
