The Carrières de La Lie association and the Groupement Archéologique du Mâconnais are joining forces to promote this site, which boasts a remarkable historical heritage. Visitors can discover the quarries, which supplied the Mâconnais region with blocks for building, sculpture and the construction of hundreds of sarcophagi from the Gallo-Roman period to the Middle Ages. Guided tour of a reconstructed Gallo-Roman tile works to the south of the quarries.
