Celebrate Japan at the Château de Saint-Germain-Du-Plain!
The Château de Saint-Germain-Du-Plain is opening its doors for its first annual cultural festival: the Festival Cultures d'Asie - A Day in Japan.
The team at the Centre d'Echanges Culturels Est-Ouest is delighted to invite you to its first major event.
On the programme:
Music and Concerts
The Pousses de Bambou Orchestra (conducted by Makoto Yabuki) and a prestigious Quartet conducted by Johan Farjot and Hugh Coltman.
Shows and Conferences
Kamishibai paper theatre and Byôbu tales with Hiromi Asaï, travelogues with Japan Kudasai and a lecture on Franponais by Martin B.
Workshops and Activities
Ikebana floral art, Manga initiation (by M. Lebestiau and Kuran Design), Shiatsu, Go game and Martial Arts.
Gastronomy
Sake tastings by Olivier S. Sake sommelier, pastries and sweet treats with the Manga-T Dijon Tearoom and Japanese cuisine.
Exhibitions
Themed photographs in the heart of our Japanese garden, paintings and sculptures

Practical information and access
The Château is 20 minutes from Chalon-sur-Saône and Tournus.
Free car parks are available in the village, just opposite the Château entrance and in the surrounding area.
Please note that capacity is limited, as is the number of places available for workshops and lectures.
