Exposition Créé ici
The municipality of Cluny has invited the "Beautés du geste" collective to hold its 7th "Créé ici" exhibition at the St Hugues stables, a renowned venue in the heart of the medieval town.
The collective, made up of craftsmen and artists, will be showcasing the richness of the region's arts and crafts by displaying exceptional pieces as well as creations representative of their work.
Visitors will be able to discover the wealth and beauty of their skills in ceramics, glass, felt, painting, leather, cardboard, marquetry, metal, etc....
With a view to renewal and openness, the collective welcomes new artists every year, giving visitors the chance to discover a wider range of workshops in the exceptional Clunisois region,
Of particular note this year are the sculptures by Alan Mantle.
This Welsh-born artist has lived in our region for many years, and his sculptures, made from black oak roots taken from the marshes of North Wales, are inspired by Celtic culture and the landscapes that have nurtured his imagination for as long as he can remember.
All these artists and craftspeople are a strong point in the appeal of the southern Saône-et-Loire region.
A regional map of all the workshops, produced in partnership with the Cluny tourist office, will be available at the exhibition and at the tourist office.
The aim is to give real visibility to a population of people who are passionate about their work, based in a magnificent terroir.
Craftsmen and artists will be on hand to answer questions.
