Ensemble Vocal Roundelay ; concert vocal de la Renaissance espagnole

During concerts in Chapaize in the years 2019-2024, the ENSEMBLE ROUNDELAY and its friends sang, under the direction of Gabriel DIAZ, pieces by composers from the Spanish Renaissance: Cristobal de MORALES, Fransisco GUERRERO, Alonso LOBO and Tomas VICTORIA .

For almost a century, these composers were very important for the development of Spanish religious and secular music. The August 2026 concert will be a synthesis of these previous performances, with the highlights of the last 5 years.

Gabriel DIAZ began his singing career with the Andalusian Baroque Choir. He studied at London Trinity College of Music and has performed with a number of ensembles

such as La Capella Real de Catalunya (Jordi SAVAL) and the Chœur de Chambre de Namur (Lionel MEUNIER). He has performed in major theatres such as the Royal Opera House in Madrid and the National Theatre of London.
