Déméter, l'enlèvement de Koré - Opéra pour tous
This fabulous opera immerses us in Greek mythology, with a libretto by writer Martine Chifflot and music composed by composer and clarinettist Béatrice Berne. The instrumentarium includes violin, clarinet and percussion. Nicole Corti was musical director. Six singers: Maud Bessard-Morandas, Camille Bordet,Alice Ungerer, Nicolas Kuntzlmann, Imanol Iraola. The show opens in Eleusis with the lamentations of Demeter, the vegetative power of nature and goddess of agriculture, who laments the disappearance of Korah, her beloved daughter. Her frantic quest will bring her face to face with the gods and men involved in this cosmic and family affair. Audiences will descend to the Underworld, where they will discover the dark designs of Hades and Ascalaphos. They will ascend to Olympus to witness the divine deliberations of Zeus, Hermes and the Moires.
