89e édition du Grand Gala des Arts et Métiers de Cluny

The association "des Gadz'Arts de la Cluny 222" aims to facilitate and promote the activities and events of its members. The Grand Gala des Arts et Métiers de Cluny is one of its cultural and festive events: it takes place annually at the end of the school year. In particular, it marks the departure of 2nd year students from Cluny. In 2026, it will be the 89th edition.

For more than a year, a team of 40 people has been organising the evening, working on every detail. On the evening itself, the entire graduating class pitched in to make sure the evening went off without a hitch. All in all, that's nearly 320 people.

The Grand Gala is open to all, and around 5,000 people attend: the people of Saône-et-Loirien and the Clunisois come in large numbers because they are attached to this event. Former students of the school also take part.

The Grand Gala has a number of objectives:

- To make this the most beautiful of evenings: to make guests dream and allow different generations to experience a unique moment.

- To promote the image of the Gadzarts throughout France and the image of the École Nationale des Arts et Métiers.

- To raise the profile of Cluny and the Saône-et-Loire department among 5,000 people from all over France.

The Grand Gala de Cluny is reputed to be a gala of excellence; it is even considered to be the most important gala evening in France. The setting of Cluny Abbey makes it unique and majestic, which undoubtedly contributes to the reputation of Saône-et-Loire.

The Grand Gala weekend is synonymous with tourism, with participants spending nights in hotels, gîtes and bed and breakfasts. The buffet is also a showcase for local expertise and resources, as the caterer chosen for the gastronomic meal in Cluny favours the use of local produce.
