Eglise Saint-Blaise de Vitry-les-Cluny
Vitry did not take the name of Vitry-les-Cluny until 1933 by decree. The town is divided into two towns, Bourg and Bezormay, linked together by a road. Saint-Blaise Church is located in the village, 10 km from Cluny. It was built in the 13th century. In 1746, the monks of Cluny, co-signers of the parish, had their bench in the choir. But the church is sold to the Revolution, then attached to Massy under the Concordat. It was partially rebuilt in the 19th century: the nave was enlarged in 1858, the vaults and the bell tower were rebuilt. A construction in front of the nave was carried out, a half-bay forming a vestibule supports the new bell tower. The church was restored in 1988, thanks to the Town Hall and a subscription from the faithful.
