This church is a former chapel, served by the Cluniac monks of Bourbon-Lancy and erected as a parish church in 1695. The choir, the bays under the bell tower and the side chapels date from the 12th century. The main interest of the building lies in its interior painted decoration, in particular the vault in cul de four of the choir decorated with a Christ in majesty with somewhat awkward proportions but with shimmering colors. The side chapel to the south (to the right of the choir) has preserved the preparatory drawings for an unfinished fresco. This decoration seems to date from the 15th century and was commissioned by the powerful lords of Saint-Aubin, the Toulongeons, officers of the Dukes of Burgundy and knights of the Golden Fleece.
