The church was part of the archpriesthood of Rousset and had Saint-Martin de Chérizet as an annex. From the 11th century, it was owned by Perrecy-les-Forges and dedicated to Saint-Antoine. It still has its Romanesque bell tower and the bay under the bell tower that forms the transept crossing, as well as a semi-circular apse with windows that were enlarged in modern times. The church underwent extensive alterations in 1820-1821: part of the church (nave and side chapels) was rebuilt, the north sacristy was demolished and rebuilt, and the south sacristy was enlarged.
