Chapelle La Colombière
This chapel, art deco dating from 1933-30, houses the relics of Saint Claude la Colombière, the spiritual director of Saint Marguerite-Marie.
The Chapelle de La Colombière venerates the relics of Saint Claude la Colombière, the spiritual director of Saint Margaret Mary. The chapel houses the relics of Blessed Claude La Colombière (canonised by Pope John Paul II on 31 May 1992), who was Saint Marguerite-Marie's confidant and support in her mission. The Byzantine-inspired chapel is simple on the outside, but richly decorated on the inside with mosaics, stained glass, sculpted and painted capitals and sculptures. In 2012, the chapel was listed as a Historic Monument.
It is a major pilgrimage site, and religious ceremonies are likely to be held here.
