This network promotes a hundred or so fully or partially Romanesque churches and chapels in the Charolais-Brionnais region around the Cluniac center of Paray-le-Monial. The Chemins du Roman network includes exterior and interior signage, trilingual publications (in French, English and German) available from tourist offices and in the churches, and a trilingual guide (French, English and German) to the Romanesque churches of the Brionnais region. The Romanesque basilica of Paray-le-Monial, a replica of the abbey church of Cluny III, is at the heart of 3 discovery tours. 1st itinerary: Paray-le-Monial and the Romanesque churches of the Brionnais region (110 km). Ten major Romanesque churches structure the circuit: Montceaux-l'Etoile, Anzy-le-Duc, Baugy, Semur-en-Brionnais, Saint-Julien-de-Jonzy, Iguerande, Châteauneuf, Bois-Sainte-Marie, Saint-Germain-en-Brionnais, Varenne-l'Arconce. 2nd itinerary: Paray-le-Monial and the Romanesque churches of the Charolais (115 km). Two major churches: Gourdon and Mont-Saint-Vincent. 3rd itinerary: Paray-le-Monial and the Romanesque churches of the western Charolais (120 km). Highlights: Perrecy-les-Forges, Toulon-sur-Arroux, Issy-l'Evêque, Bourbon-Lancy (Saint-Nazaire church).
