La Route des Châteaux en Bourgogne du sud
The fourteen châteaux on the Route des Châteaux in Southern Burgundy offer an anthology of French art and an evocation of the historic past of Burgundy, a land of exchange and culture.
Twenty years ago, the owners of fourteen châteaux in southern Burgundy created the Route des châteaux association to raise awareness of their storied heritage and share their passion for these extraordinary places, which they strive to keep alive and open to the public.
In the heart of magnificent landscapes and gardens, fifteen châteaux, listed or registered as Monuments Historiques, offer an anthology of French art and an evocation of the historic past of Burgundy, a land of exchange and culture.
The châteaux of Berzé-le-Châtel, Brancion, Cormatin, Couches, Drée, Germolles, Digoine, Pierre-de-Bresse, Rully, La Ferté Abbey, Chaumont en Charolais, Pierreclos, Saint-Point and Sully are all part of the Route des châteaux in Southern Burgundy.
