It is the oldest house in Mâcon, and certainly also the most photographed and visited. Located on the Place aux Herbes, in the heart of the town centre, the Maison de Bois, decorated with a multitude of statuettes often inspired by saucy characters, is one of the town's tourist attractions.
But it is also a bar-restaurant where it is good to stop at any time of the day to have a coffee, a drink or to discover the gourmet menu of a place where tourists and locals like to meet.
