Club d'Escalade Le Bidoigt
Indoor and outdoor climbing lessons for young and old in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Suggestions for canyoning trips if possible
We are an association under the law of 1901, affiliated to the Fédération Française de la Montagne et de l'Escalade (FFME), created in 1988. Since then, we have been housed in the gymnasium of the Lycée Agricole Lucie Aubrac in Davayé, on the first artificial wall in Saône et Loire.
Since 2011, we have also been using the new climbing wall at the Lycée Renée Cassin in Mâcon, and when the fine weather arrives, sessions are held (as far as possible) on the Solutré and Vergisson rocks, which we maintain in partnership with the Grand Site.
We also organise weekends at various natural sites in France for adults and a camp for young people in July.
The club has an average of 70 members, including 30 youngsters aged 7 to 17. Our members come from many towns within a radius of around 20 km, around Davayé and Mâcon, to practise our sport.
The Bidoigt association runs on the energy of its volunteers, who give up their time to share their passion with as many people as possible in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The aim! No judgement, no obligation, everyone progresses at their own pace, with only the learning of safety instructions and manoeuvres being closely supervised.
