Musée du Patrimoine Gueugnonnais
Museum of local history. There are several exhibitions on different themes: geology, Gallo-Roman archaeology and industrial history.
Discover Gueugnon's local heritage. A geological approach, with a room dedicated to collections of local minerals and fossils. The permanent collection includes an archaeological section tracing the history of the Vieux Fresne site, a Gallo-Roman ceramics production centre, and exhibition rooms tracing the history of the Gueugnon forges from their creation in 1724 to the present day. Temporary exhibitions.
Next to the museum, a pottery workshop is open to the public for workshops in July and August.
The season closes each year with the European Heritage Days.
