The holiday rental "Les Fleurs sous le Viaduc" in Mussy sous Dun, a small village in Saône et Loire, consists of two pretty stone houses that were completely renovated and fitted out as new in 2026.
Situated in the heart of the Brionnais region in Burgundy, just a few minutes from La Clayette, Chauffailles and Charlieu; 1h15 from Lyon, 40 minutes from Roanne and one hour from Mâcon, this charming gite with parquet floors, beams, cement tiles and the beautiful stonework typical of the region is independent and not overlooked.
The accommodation sleeps 8 in total, set in 1500 m2 of enclosed grounds planted with trees and flowers, on the banks of a small river, 500 metres from the Mussy viaduct, its playground and the starting points for hiking and mountain biking trails.
This warm and comfortable place is ideal for families with children, groups of friends, hikers, cyclists and all travellers looking for nature, relaxation, sport, authenticity and a friendly barbecue! In fine weather, you can cool off in the little river that runs alongside the campsite, although access to the river is made safe for younger children.
The main house, bordered by a large terrace, comprises two bright bedrooms with 160 x 200 beds and 2 en suite shower rooms on the 1st floor, a toilet on the ground floor, a fitted kitchen and a lounge with direct access to the outside via two French windows.
The outbuilding is a cocoon entirely decorated in raw oak, with a workshop on the ground floor for storing bikes, games, pushchairs, etc. On the first floor there is a large bedroom with a 160 x 200 bed, a shower room and a separate toilet, as well as a mezzanine with 2 single beds. Outside this outbuilding, a covered terrace adjoins the petanque area, with a view of the riverbed and the large weeping willow.
Bed linen and towels are provided, as well as some basic groceries for your arrival.
In the lounge, you'll find reading material, board games, brochures and information from the tourist office to help you discover the region.
Cleaning is included in the price.
Parking is easy on the grounds in the large gravel courtyard or outside the property in a small car park directly opposite.
The decor and furnishings have been designed to make everyone feel at home, for a complete break in the countryside.
We have carefully restored this building to make it comfortable and fully equipped so we expect our guests to be particularly respectful of the premises and we are of course open to any suggestions for improvement.
The entire building is non-smoking and parties are not permitted.
Bakery, local shops, farm shop, market, bookshop, cinema, local swimming pool, restaurants, TER train station, "Quintessence" wellness centre, etc. are all 3 km away.
The Chauffailles / La Clayette cycle route is just a few minutes away for cyclists and cycling enthusiasts.
On request, we offer the possibility of reserving aperitif baskets with products from our renowned local producers.
