The Gîte "le bât de l'âne" is a Burgundy winegrower's house in the heart of the vineyards near the owner, located near Couches, a small medieval town in southern Burgundy, 25 km from Beaune, Autun and Chalon-sur-Saône.
The price includes water, heating and electricity.

In July and August, weekly rentals from Saturday to Saturday only.
The house is said to have been built by monks during the Middle Ages. The dining room features thick exposed stone walls, large oak beams and small niches known as borgnotes. In the private courtyard, there is an old wall that we suspect to be the remains of a chapel, a condemned well dug into the rock and a dovecote adjoining the original house.
