From Coublanc, go down the road D259, and go up leaving the cemetery on your left. Pass in front of the famous Oratory of Notre Dame de Lourdes built in 1936, a faithful reproduction of the Massabielle grotto, a mass is celebrated there every year on August 15th. Continue to point N°3 " Le Pont des Rigoles ". Turn right and then left, cross the small river "Le Pontbrenon" and then "L'Aron", both 1st category rivers. Cross the D83, here you can see a ruined tower, the only remnant of a medieval castle, which was the seat of the lordship of Vertpré. Go up towards Point N°4 "Vertpré". Continue your walk through the bocage with views of Tancon on the left and Coublanc on the right.
At point N°5 " Les Tronchères " turn right and cross the D83 again to continue to the Vernes wash house in the commune of St Igny de Roche, crossed by the river Aron. This washhouse has been recently restored. A picnic table and a playground will incite you to a well deserved break.
Go up and enter the Vert Pré wood then turn left and continue to walk along it while admiring the green valleys which are offered to your glance until the point N°6 " Le bois de Vertpré ".
Turn right and then left in the direction of Cadolon. Admire the valley and in the distance the "Montrond" where the Oratory of the Holy Family was erected in 1875, where a bearded Saint Joseph sits, bareheaded, carrying a branch of lily in his right arm. The infant Jesus, whose feet rest on a globe, and the Virgin Mary draped in a long veil. In the past, people went there to ask for the protection of the Holy Family, to recite a prayer, an Ave and an act of contrition. Start the descent to the hamlet of "Cadolon", point N°7, at the stop sign take on your right the D81 then go down on your left. Start the ascent to the point N°8 " La Favrie ", leave the tarred road to take on the right the dirt road, go along a wood, the view is far on the village of Tancon and even further on the one of Saint Julien de Jonzy. A little rest is necessary, the view on Dun and Dunet is magnificent and the picnic table is welcoming.
At point N°9 "Montbernier" continue your descent by the road in the direction of Coublanc. Pass in front of the church dedicated to Sainte Marie Madeleine, the old one judged too small and unhealthy was destroyed around 1850. In 1852, a new church was built, designed by the renowned departmental architect, André Berthier, who created one of his best and most original works. It was consecrated on October 5, 1869.
On the other side of the street, admire the former presbytery and girls' school, now a private home, the 16th century "Auclair" house. Back to the starting point.
