Mer de Pierres

- Departure is from the village of COLLONGE-EN-CHAROLLAIS, where parking is available near the Mairie and salle des fêtes. We also recommend a detour to the church, restored a few years ago.

- This walk has a steep gradient, particularly at the start (uphill) and the end (downhill). We advise you to take the walk in a clockwise direction (from "Les Justices").

- Gradually, you'll pass through meadows and a recently logged forest, where you'll find an old telegraph station where you can stop for a while.

- The path you follow gradually becomes thinner and stonier, until you enter an unlogged forest. On this part of the trail, we advise you to stay on the marked path to avoid getting lost in this exceptional natural environment.

- You'll wind your way through what's known locally as the Mer de Pierres (Sea of Stones) before returning to the village. On the way down, you'll be able to take in some great views over the Guye Valley.
