Les Battées
A journey through the dense and varied Battées state forest, with its many hidden treasures...
With your back to the bridge, leave the track that runs alongside the railroad, go straight ahead and immediately turn left onto the first track in the forest (ONF signpost 32).
- On the long climb of around 800 m (150 m ascent), with 2 crow's feet, take the left-hand paths, then go straight on.
- When you reach a flat spot on the same path, continue straight on for about 700 m.
- Pass a large stone milestone on the left (with the Mac Mahon crest), then go straight on and take the next goose-paste on the left.
- At the crossroads, go straight ahead and turn right onto a gravel track (1.5 km through gravel).
- Pass a blue truck, follow the track to the forest road (tarmac). Turn right and follow it for about 3 km to the TGV bridge.
- You'll be back at the starting point.
