Le Mont de la Fâ

From Mont Chevreuil and Mont de la Fâ, the view hugs the Val Lamartinien. Alternating with wine-growing landscapes dotted with typical Mâconnais hamlets, the oak grove-charmaie forests, calcicolous teppes orchid lawns and boxwoods of Mont Chevreuil are home to protected flora. The 14th-century Château d'Escolles, burnt down in 1576, recalls the turbulent period of the Wars of Religion.
