Le GR®3, la Loire sauvage à pied

The GR® 3, the first signposted itinerary in France, links the source of the Loire to its source. Discover Burgundy and its historic sites.

The first official, signposted GR® in France was the GR® 3, an itinerary that crosses 3 regions and 12 départements over 1243km, linking the source of the Loire with its mouth.

In Burgundy, you'll discover 215km of landscapes and sites to visit.

Along the way, you can contemplate the bocages of Saône-et-Loire, offering landscapes that include meadows, dry-stone walls and hedgerows.

Admire the Bec d'Allier, where river and river, the Loire and the Allier, meet. A site well worth the detour.

Along the way, why not stop off at the Pavillon du Milieu de Loire in Pouilly-sur-Loire. This house of nature and the environment opens its doors to you, as well as those of its rooms.

A visit to the Musée de la Loire is also highly recommended! The mix of river and fine arts will make your visit unforgettable.

You'll also pass by the Pouilly vineyards, where you'll have the chance to admire the vines that will make tomorrow's wines.

And, of course, the towns and villages you'll pass through will stand out along your journey as unmissable landmarks and infallible sources of history thanks to their tangible and intangible heritage.
