Le Chatelard
This route will take you on a tour of the many facets of the village and its hamlets, as well as offering beautiful views over the Valouzin valley.
Between 260 and 681 m of altitude, with its highest point near the Col des Enceints, Bourgvilain offers gently undulating landscapes of meadows and woods, dotted with hamlets with characteristic rural architecture.
In the Natura 2000 protected natural area, the commune includes the site "Bocage, forests and wetlands of the Grosne and Clunisois basin", a special habitat conservation area for numerous animal species linked to the aquatic environment, recognized as being of European interest due to their rarity and decline.
The Castle of Corcelle, flanked by round towers and dating from the 9th century, is registered as a historical monument. (Private property, cannot be visited).
