La Vallée de l'Arroux
A beautiful walk between the Arroux valley and the Velet hills.
Head for the main road and continue along the track opposite.
Cross the railroad tracks on the right, then turn left at the next crossroads (past the former tourist office) and, just after the town hall, fork right, then immediately left to get closer to the river.
Continue along this street, past the Maison du Passeur, and at the end of the small climb, turn left towards the Arroux course.
Continue as far as the sewage treatment plant and cut off just after the old "tacot" track; continue straight ahead.
The path makes a 90-degree bend before joining the route des Blondeaux.
Turn right and after 500 m, fork left to reach the Lycée forestier de Velet.
At the exit, turn left and after 50 m, left again towards the hamlet of Velet.
The route joins the route de Saint-Didier. Cross this road and follow the path into the Braconne valley.
At the Savigny level crossing, stay on this side and continue to the hamlet of Montbrenot.
The narrow road passes over the railroad line and leads back to the starting parking lot.
