📍 La Roche-Vineuse
La Lande de Nancelle
This sensitive natural space conceals a remarkable environment of calcareous grassland, also called dry grassland and acidic moorland (rare and threatened environments in Saône-et-Loire), a deciduous forest, inherited from a particular geological context coupled with a magnificent panorama on the Mâconnais mountains. The moorland shelters the callune called "common heather or false heather" (not very widespread in the region); its blooming colors the moor at the end of the summer. Interpretation panels explain the flora and fauna, including the European nightjar, a secret bird, and numerous species of reptiles, butterflies and spiders.
