La Chapelle de Montartaux
The 8-way route leads to the small chapel of Montartaux and offers a beautiful panorama.
- Cross the parking lot behind the town hall and turn right onto a dirt track that follows the old railroad line. Turn left, pass under the bridge and continue to the crossroads. Cross over to pass alongside the Puits Hottinguer and the old railway station, then take the path marked by two large boulders.
- Turn left at the sign "Le Curier par la garenne" to reach the Garenne district via rue du Morvan. - At the "stop" sign, cross the road and take "le chemin noir".
- At the stadium (signposted "puits de la Garenne"), turn right for a few metres, then left and drive alongside the stadium. At the crossroads, leave the house on your left and go straight ahead on a good track as far as Le Curier.
- Turn left onto the Route de Molinot as far as the crossroads (signposted "puits du Curier"). After a few metres on the road, turn right onto the 1st track.
- Once on the road, turn left, go up a few metres and continue on the left-hand lane towards Ressille.
- At the crossroads in the center of the hamlet, take the minor road to Aubigny-la-Ronce and follow it for about 1.5 km. When the road bends, turn left onto a wide track which you follow (straight ahead) as far as the Montartaux chapel. Follow this track back down to Ressille, then the asphalt road to the previous crossroads. - Pass the cross and turn right into rue du Calvaire. At the fork in the road, go straight on to the Queue Rousselle farm. Continue along the track to the D 217 road. Turn left for about 100 m.
- Go up the embankment to the right: you'll find the old railway track, the "Promenade de Monestoy", which takes you back to the Epinac station, where you follow the original route to the town hall parking lot.
