La Boucle de Roussillon
Departure Place de l'église in Roussillon (parking)
Come back to the crossroads passing in front of the old inn. Turn right on the D277, follow it in the direction of Aigreveau.
After the pond, at the fork in the road, turn left to reach this hamlet. The road bends to the left, follow it for another 200 m until the junction where you have to turn left on the wide dirt road that goes up to the ridge.
At about 800 m, turn right on an old Gallic road. It goes down then up to the plateau of Haut des Ruets. There, turn left on the perpendicular track, follow it for 500 m.
Turn right on the path in front of an isolated house in the hamlet of Jeusot. It crosses a small wood and joins another Gallic road, now tarred. Turn right on this road for 300 m. At the fork, leave it and turn right again to go down to the hamlet of Barbeaux.
Turn right again between the houses. The tarmac soon disappears in favor of a gravel path that quickly descends to the ford of the Ruets (or Bruets) stream.
Cross the brook and turn left on a good path that leads to the Viollots mill on the edge of the Canche.
Take the road D277 on the right and leave it quickly after the mill to take on the left the path which goes along the stream. This path climbs quite steeply at the beginning. Halfway up (hill 511), at the fork, continue straight up to return to the village of Roussillon, and straight on to the Place de l'église.
