La balade des rhododendrons
Crossing the village of Dompierre, you can admire the recently refurbished church, then descend to the railway station and the Pézanin arboretum. After skirting the no-kill fishing pond, you'll head up to the hamlet of Frouges (castle, goat cheeses), then on to Bois du Lin.
From the parking lot of the camping des Meuniers, go towards the center of Dompierre-les-Ormes. Arrive on the D 41 (traffic circle).
Turn left and go towards the church. Go up to the right as if you were entering the church, go around it and turn right towards the hamlet of Les Ormes; go straight down; after the hamlet, the path plunges towards the old railroad.
At the bottom, before the bridge, turn left onto the small road that joins this old track, and follow it straight ahead through the old station. After passing an industrial body shop, before a new bridge, plunge to the right to reach the pond of Pézanin. Cross the dam and turn right immediately to go along it for about 200 m.
Turn left onto a small grassy path with shade. The route bends to the right to go along a wood, then crosses a stream to the right. Then climb up a steep hill to reach and cross an imposing farm. By its access road, join Frouges.
Turn left, then right at the next intersection. The path joins a road to take on the right.
At the crossroads of Bois du Lin (cross), continue in the same direction. The road crosses a brook and then goes up to pass near a craft area. Keep the direction and come out on the D 41 ; follow it on the right and join the traffic circle of Meuniers.
By the left, find the starting point.
