Grande boucle de Givry

This 25 km loop (546 m ascent) will take you through the wine-producing villages of the Côte Chalonnaise. We recommend that you find accommodation near Givry. If you set off mid-morning from the Place de la Poste, you can stop off at the Caveau Givry Vins, which is also a tourist information point, to find out about the events taking place during your stay. Allow 6 hours for this loop, not counting lunch breaks or tastings during visits.

There are several shops in Givry to help you plan your picnic during the day's hike (mini-markets and bakeries). Please note that there are no other food shops on the route.

After a 5 km stroll through vineyards and the first hillsides, you'll arrive in Jambles, home to several wine-tasting estates. Lunch at Domaine Drain's Table Conviviale (every lunchtime except Wednesday and Sunday, by reservation only). Take the opportunity to visit the church. You'll then discover new vineyard landscapes and hills, and on the way to the village of Barizey, don't miss its picturesque church.

Continue on to Saint-Denis-de-Vaux, rediscovering vineyards and valleys. You'll pass the church, which you should visit if you can.
