Cuiseaux, pays des peintres

Of Celtic origin, Cuiseaux is located at the foot of the Revermont. It is the most eastern commune of the department of Saône et Loire. This beautiful city of character where it is good to stroll to the rhythm of its medieval streets, pays tribute to two major figures of French painting who lived their childhood in Cuiseaux, Edouard Vuillard and Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. The route takes you to the house with a watchtower, the Porte du Verger and the church of Saint Thomas.
