Circuit de la Croix Cavalier
This tour takes in the scenery of the Antully plateau between the village of Tintry and the Canada valley.
Follow the tarmac road up to the fork in the plateau; turn left.
- Go straight on past the hamlet of Fangy, and about 100 m past the hunting lodge in the Douglas fir plantation, turn left. The path gradually descends towards the Canada valley; the route will follow the river for some time, before finally joining the tarmac road.
- Follow this road and, just before the bridge over the Digoine stream, turn right. We come to a farm, from where the path begins to climb up to the edge of the wood. It finally reaches the plateau and joins a tarmac road whose intersection is marked by a stone cross: the ?Croix Cavalier?
- Take this road to the left, and before you reach the bridge over the TGV line, turn right to follow the TGV line for 300 metres, before turning right through the bocage of the plateau. This path eventually leads to a tarmac road; turn right.
This takes us back to the hamlet of Fangy and our starting point.
