Bois des Combes
Clermain, a small village nestling on either side of the Grosne river, has grown up on both sides of the river, originally devoted to livestock farming. For a long time, the village was an important railway junction, as evidenced by the numerous gatehouses. Today, Clermain remains a peaceful, welcoming village.
Along the Bois des Combes circuit, you will discover landscapes of hedged farmland and forest that are constantly changing with the seasons. The western slope looks towards the valley of Matour and the mountains of the Haut-Beaujolais, while the summit of the eastern slope offers panoramas on the valley of Valouzin and the heights of Clunisois. Another easy circuit is proposed, of a distance of 4,5 km : Les hauts de Clermain.
