Balade des Faillettes

Start at the church square, go up behind the church by the pedestrian path, then left. At the crossroads, turn right and continue for 300 m, then turn left on the path that goes up through the meadows

to the RD79 (the big road). On the right, go 100 m, then on the left, a small path that leads to a nice little pond (la combe au chien). Common itinerary with Curbigny (CU1) until Trappeloup. Cross the D79, turn right, then left, the path lined with meadow. Go down to the back of an old farm, left to Les Noyers, left then right. At the top, turn left on a path in the undergrowth to the combe de Charme. Turn right on the path to the first houses of the hamlet of La Saigne. At the top right, cross the Chemineau wood in which the legend of the Faillettes (little fairies) was born. At the end of the road, you will have a beautiful view of the villages of Varennes and La Clayette. At La croix Blanche, turn left between two meadows. Continue to La Vierge du Molet. Back to the village; on the right castle of Grandvaux.
