Balade des Croix

Departure from the church square. Go along the stadium, pedestrian path. Cross the D987 at the cemetery, municipal road for 1.5 km, old stone bridge to cross the Sornin, river of 1st category, along the old mill of Roncemay. At the top, 300 m up, small rise, on the right, and take the path to La Beluze and on the left cross the hamlet of La Beluze, at the crossroads on the right, cross La Macelle. Continue for 500 m and turn left (beautiful view on the village); hamlet of Vervaux then Les Guinets, half way up the slope view on the mountain of Dun with the Chapel, arrival at the hamlet of La Faux. Turn left for 2 km until the Cross of Gachets. The path goes down between two hedges, then to the right, at Les Ronzeaux, take the path in the undergrowth to the hamlet of La Velle. On the left, cross the D987, hamlet of La Tuillière; on the left behind the shed, then on the left until the Mont. On the right, continue the road for 200 m, take the path, go along beautiful stone houses, hamlet of Champerny, on the right, farm of breeding of Charollaise race and continue until the virgin of Mollet. Turn right back to the village of Varennes on the same section as the VA1 circuit. On the right Château de Grandvaux.
