Autour de Champs des Bois
- The Romanesque church of the XIIth century and its Arab-Andalusian porch welcome you at the beginning of this loop n°5.
- Go around the village of SAINT-MAURICE-DES-CHAMPS, cut the D236 to follow a small road for about 1200 m.
- Come back almost on your steps by borrowing on your left a rectilinear way: it is the old Roman way which connected formerly the cities of AUTUN and TOURNUS.
- In the hamlet of La Rochette, a small 13th century Romanesque chapel stands discreetly in front of the 15th and 16th century private castle, which from 1958 to 1998 housed the Essarts school and then the Presles school.
- Cross the hamlet to take a dirt road on your left at 800 m.
- Cross a tarred road and follow the path passing by "l'enfer" before you find "En Champagne". Below you will find the old Etiveau - MONTCHANIN railway line.
- Go down the small path on your left until you reach the old gatekeeper's house which you will leave on your right.
- You will see the church of SAINT-MARTIN-DU-TARTRE which you will have to join by small shaded paths passing by Collongette-le-Haut.
- Turn left on the road. Beautiful panorama at the height of the town hall.
- Cross the village of SAINT-MARTIN-DU-TARTRE, pass near the church and take a road on the right, then a path going down along a vineyard.
- At the intersection, turn left onto the path that leads to the starting point.
