Grand Gîte du Hameau de la Cadette

A carefully restored farmhouse. Large dwelling 9/10 places + small dwelling 5/6 places = Large Gîte for 15 people. Wellness and rejuvenation.

A genuine place of well-being, inspiration and rejuvenation in southern Burgundy, in the heart of the Clunisois region.

Our Grand Gîte is housed in an old farmhouse that has been lovingly restored using natural materials, with warm, functional spaces and a sienna-coloured exterior.

We welcome individuals and professionals

in a privileged environment and facilities on a human scale. The Grand gîte du Hameau de la Cadette is furnished and has a fibre optic connection, private parking and an electrified bicycle shed. You have access to landscaped outdoor areas. For hire: traditional bread oven, sauna and activity rooms.

A 60 m² (6 m x 10 m) outdoor awning can be installed on request on the open-air theatre for the duration of your stay.

Our accommodation is open all year round. It is self-catering. You'll have peace of mind and complete autonomy!

The Grand Logis (130 m²) has four bedrooms sleeping three. One of the ground-floor bedrooms can also be used as a lounge. Two bedrooms each have a private bathroom, while the other two have a charming shared shower room and toilet. The fully-equipped kitchen has been installed in the former stable. The cosy dining room and typical Mâconnaise gallery make this a house full of resources and charm.

Le Petit Logis (50 m²) is located in the attic. It has its own entrance. Please note: it is accessed via a miller's staircase!

It comprises three areas: an entrance hall, a common room and a dormitory. The dormitory can accommodate up to five people in partitioned sleeping areas that ensure privacy. It is equipped with a sanitary block: shower, WC and washbasin. The common room has a full kitchen area. It also has an extra bed.

You can book only the Petit Logis, only the Grand Logis or both. The entire building can accommodate up to 15 people, but if you are a little more numerous, the Hameau de la Cadette has a guest room, land and a few outbuildings.

A rustic room (40 m²) located close to the Gîte will be specially fitted out for you. It has a small covered terrace on the south side (10 m²) and opens onto the green theatre on the north side. It is freely accessible. Here you can relax, enjoy a cup of tea, herbal tea or coffee and catch up on old times. A French pool table, a small sound system and board games are also available. This is an unusual place to meet up, have lunch or dinner with a large group.

Garden furniture, barbecue, outdoor games, table tennis, French billiards, table football, books and board games are all available.

When it comes to food, you're on your own. The nearest shops are in Joncy (3 km) or Saint-Gengoux-le-National (8 km). We have some good addresses that we're happy to share with you: organic and local producers nearby, a variety of restaurants less than ten minutes away by car, and meal delivery services.

No booking fees, no commission charges. Bed linen and cleaning at the end of your stay are included in our prices. Beds will be made on arrival. You only need to unmake them before your departure.

If you would like to hire towels or bicycles, book local transport, organise a visit, have your meals delivered to you or have any other special request, please contact us directly.

The Hameau de la Cadette is located in the commune of Burzy. As well as the charms of our village, you can explore the Château de Brancion, the Abbey Church of Tournus, the Château de Cormatin, the Abbey or the National Stud Farm at Cluny. A little further south, you can explore the caves of Azé or Blanot. You can also visit Taizé. If you walk to Saint-Clément-sur-Guye or drive to Chapaize and Lancharre, you can easily reach the Romanesque church circuit.

Pedal along the greenway, enjoying its picturesque stops, either north towards Chalon-sur-Saône or south towards Mâcon. You can visit the Musée de la Mine or the Musée du Vélo, or climb Mont Saint-Romain to admire the panorama.

At the Saint-Gengoux-le-National wine cellar, you can taste the great Burgundy vintages. Stroll through the markets and shops selling local produce, or simply walk along the signposted footpaths, past wash-houses and "cadoles", to reach the "chemin des jonquilles" in Saint-Ythaire, in a charming, undulating natural setting.
