Château Saint-Hugues
The castle, where Saint Hugues, the great abbot of Cluny, was born, still has its square Romanesque keep, the oldest in Burgundy (X-XIth).
Saint Hugues, the Abbot of Cluny, was born in this castle. The only remaining vestiges are the square keep, the oldest in Burgundy, and the two round towers. One of the towers has a domed vault over a dungeon of about 10m in depth. Mementos of Saint Hugues are on display here, as is a collection of revolutionary posters in the jailer's house. Room devoted to Middle Age military art.
